Ahoy matey! Calling all water lovers…this is the perfect spot for you! This hotel dates back to 1907 and although modernised, has retained many elements of its nautical history. Overlooking San Francisco Bay many of the rooms offer views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. Renovation & Hotel Information
The hotel will be undergoing soft renovations of its guestrooms. They will be changing the furniture, carpeting and wallpaper as well as updating the bathrooms floor by floor. The property management expects minimal impact on guests as renovations floors will be closed off and all work will be done during normal buisness hours. Work will be complete by the 10th February 2012

I would have given the staff 11 if I could - even though we arrived late at night we were greeted warmly and nothing was too much trouble. A long way from the airport given we were only there for a stopover en route home but we knew that and had enough time to get out and enjoy some of the delights of San Francisco. If you are staying for two or three days in San Francisco this would be a great place to stay - the hotel has character given its a warehouse conversion but has every modern convenience too.

Wonderful hotel - could not fault it. The complimentary drinks event from 5-6pm every evening was a lovely touch. Lots of guests went. Met some great people.

Fantastic but disappointed we have been charged for using the mini bar which we did not- this has been taken up with the hotel.

Fantastic hotel...surprisingly we got a voucher for a lovely but basic breakfast which you could upgrade if required. We would have liked a view....we were looking out onto concrete....would make a special request if I was staying there again. Service was the best we experienced on our trip - outstanding!

Lovely hotel. Right at the end of Fisherman's Wharf so away from the crowds but still a very convenient location. Easy walking access to the various piers, buses and cable cars. Would highly recommend this hotel if staying in San Francisco and wanting to see the tourist attractions.

This was another exceptional hotel and again the staff could not do enough to make sure that our stay was comfortable and an enjoyable experience. The room was clean and everything catered for. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and whatever we asked for they assisted politely and efficiently.

Think this hotel is just great for being on Fisherman's Wharf and the cable car is just around the corner. Bedrooms are a good size and clean.

Fantastic location right on Fishermans Wharf. The cable car stop is just minutes away. Great restaurants and shops so take lots of money!! Fully recommend a trip to Alcatraz and a city tour. Unfortunately, the staff here were not as helpful as those in Chicago and Hawaii. We had been spoilt by the preceding hotel service and I'm afraid the waiting staff could have been better in the restaurant. Still a great place to stay though.

Loved the style of the bedroom and the public rooms were fantastic. The staff were so helpful it hurt. Only one criticism, Fisherman's Wharf is a tad like Blackpool but with better food!

First class hotel, almost perfection - didn't have a room with a view but paid for one room and they gave us two as we had teenage boys with us!! That was some gift as the rooms were the most expensive of anywhere we stayed. Free wine in the evenings, toys for the boys, Xbox in the lobby. Brilliant, attentive staff. Just wish it had a pool.

This hotel is great sat right on the end of Fishermans Wharf. We walked everywhere saw all the sights. Trolley buses leave right beside the hotel.

The best position possible and so easy for public transport to just about everywhere in the city. Great advice from the concierge desk on where to go and how best to get there as well as booking Alcatraz visit etc. Daily wine-tasting sessions at 5pm were a great success.

Excellent boutique hotel, close to restaurants and transport. Friendly and helpful staff. Wine tasting for guests is a lovely touch - attached restaurant serves great breakfasts. Would be perfect if they offered a free airport shuttle service.
