Disney have managed to bring the ambience of the Caribbean to Florida, and they've brought the beaches too! The resort is split into 6 Caribbean 'Islands', each with its own pool and stretch of white sand beach on the shore of the lake, where you can go boating. There's a large main pool too, complete with bridge, waterfalls and slides, and the Banana Cabana Pool Bar mixes rum cocktails that we can confirm are suitably authentic! Colonial-style buildings and swaying palm trees add to the Caribbean vibe. The Old Port Royale area hosts a lively shopping bazaar, casual food court and Shutters restaurant, and you can get pizza delivered to your room if the theme parks have tired you out.
