The Roosevelt Hotel is Hollywood's only historic hotel still in operation today - having just celebrated its 75th anniversary with a $15 million renovation. The home of the very first Academy Awards (1929) was built as a glamorous gathering place and hotel for the screen colony.Through the years, throngs of celebrities and people hoping to sight them have visited and resided at the hotel.
This historic Hollywood hotel is located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame opposite Grauman's Chinese Theatre at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard. Its in the heart of the action for evening entertainment at venues like the House of Blues and BB King's, and also well located for Universal Studios and the major TV stations which are open to the public.

An older hotel right on Hollywood Boulevard, very busy as to be expected due to its location. Very dark inside, rooms quite small but all clean. Nice food and helpful staff.

Another very good 5*. Parking a little expensive, but very swift valet service. Hotel location nearly opposite the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd, and a short step from Santa Monica Pier which was our final destination.

The main part of the hotel was good but the room seemed to need a little bit of TLC.
