The Hotel Edison, built in 1931 in the same grand Art Deco style as Radio City Music Hall, is situated in one of the most dynamic sections of New York City. The hotel lights literally shine on Broadway! That means you can walk a few steps in either direction and whether it be comedy or tragedy, you can enjoy the great theatres for which New York City is traditionally known.
If it's fine dining that you're into, theres Sofia's Restaurant, The Supper Club and a New York favorite, The Rum House, serving cocktails in a West Indian atmosphere. Enjoy a full tasty menu of Big Apple favorites at Café Edison, aptly renamed by theatre patrons as the "Polish Tea Room." Or stroll one block over and find "Restaurant Row" ...a melange of eating establishments for every tastebud.

I gave an 8 for the room only because they had no tea or coffee machine in the room otherwise very good for New York. Good evening entertainment in the bar.

Hotel was ideally situated right on Times Square and perfect for access to major attractions as a central point. Room was basic with no great view. Bathroom showed signs of age although in clean working order. All in all no real issues. Main selling point is definitely location just a 30 second walk from Times Square.
