The hotel being a 4 star hotel was brilliant. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us useful information on local attractions, and how to get to them. The daily room service was 1st class. We were a bit disappointed that the price didn't include breakfast, and was very expensive.

This is a very grand hotel, but very welcoming. When we arrived we were upgraded to a Junior suite, which, for a hotel room in New York, was enormous. The facilities were very good, with the only let down being the lack of free wireless internet in the rooms, although it available in the lobby. This was a great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The concierge can be busy but did give good recommendations as it can be quite daunting trying to find the right places to eat in New York. Just a quick note: there is a restaurant across the road called Raffles. The best advice is just to avoid it and go elsewhere.

Originally you placed us in a different hotel and having read the reviews on Trip Advisor changed it to the Intercontinental, a good decision. This hotel was amazing. Very large and grand with a beautiful lobby, helpful polite courteous staff who even wanted to upgrade us free of charge. Couldn’t though as the roll out bed turned out to be too small for our son!! Facilities excellent the only downside was having to pay for an internet service, free everywhere else! Room large, bathroom tiny as is usual apparently in NY. Slight damp smells in room but didnt detract from the stay. Location excellent and would stay here again without question.
