The Lenox, under family ownership for more than 35 years, has the personal attention and quiet, intimate atmosphere of a small, classic European hotel. Having just completed a three-year, multi-million hotel renovation that included all guest rooms, The Lenox is proud to offer guests the comfort of home with the services and amenities expected by today's traveller. Rooms feature a variety of soft colour schemes with brass chandeliers, crystal lamps and rich, dark wood furniture. Each guest bathroom features a mahogany and marble vanity with marble bath and floor.

We had two wonderful stays at the start and end of our holiday. As they knew it was our wedding anniversary they upgraded us to a huge corner room and a bottle of wine and card in our room. Excellent customer service. The hotel was in a fantastic location on Back Bay, easy walk to everywhere and great restaurants nearby.

This hotel was amazing!! The children were met by a bell hop who presented them with fluffy red lobsters with a Lenox Hotel ribbons. They took us up to our beautiful room and presented them with a basket of gifts that had been chosen for them. A good quality t-shirt each, snacks, biscuits, m&m's, Boston salt water taffy etc. Just stuff to nibble on when they were in the room. The room and bathroom were beautifully furnished, very large, walk in wardrobe and with everything you might need (umbrella etc). They also had a long list of anything you might have forgotten or just fancied from their larder. Most was free or if it was a big item like silk tie or digital camera you could borrow it. We did not ask for anything but it wonderful to know that you could. They had cookies and iced tea in the lobby at tea time and free coffee in the morning - all free. The concierge lady was fantastic and sorted us out with maps and ideas and recommended a very good place to eat lobster that was authentic but also child friendly and not too expensive. We really loved the Lenox and Boston but we should have stayed longer. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Free Wi-Fi in the rooms too!

A superb hotel, wonderfully located, with highly attentive staff. I would happily return to the Lennox in the future. Rooms were spacious and very well furnished. Whilst being very centrally located the hotel was quiet at night and there was an air great luxury about everything here.

Beautifully restored historic hotel in a fantastic location for exploring the city. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient and the restaurants are extremely high quality.

Cannot praise this hotel enough. Staff were lovely. Food was great - we ate in hotel 2 nights. Fabulous location.

A distance to walk into Boston for the start of Freedom Trail etc. Not many restaurants in the vicinity. Irish bar/restaurant in the hotel was very good. Room very comfortable. Free Wi-Fi in bedroom - worked well.

Lovely, warm, welcoming, unique and friendly hotel. Bedroom was clean, well equipped and had extra touches, such as a lovely turn down evening service and chocolates on pillows and a night time goodnight pillow - very sweet. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.

Cannot put in words just how good this hotel is, our train was late because of the hurricane and because it was our wedding anniversary the Lenox gave us a free bar tab and free champagne and wine, This continued through out the holiday, AMAZING HOTEL and I am not easily pleased I would have scored 20 out of 10.

It probably sounds wildly exaggerated to give a hotel a '10' rating for everything but we honestly could not fault a thing. The room was lovely (the hotel had accommodated our requests for a high, quiet room), the bed was extremely comfortable (I'm very fussy!) and all the facilities were great. The staff could not have been more courteous, helpful, attentive or friendly - Jimmy, who has been there for almost 60 years, was a delight and everyone went out of their way to make our stay as perfect as possible. We felt as though we were friends being welcomed back for the twentieth time rather than first time guests in a strange hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, not least for its position within the city and proximity to sights and transport links. Altogether an excellent establishment that made our holiday a real treat.
