Architecturally speaking, the Luxor Hotel & Casino, with its pyramid design and Egyptian theme, is the most unique resort in Las Vegas. Named after Egypt`s most exotic tourist destination, Luxor Las Vegas stands 30 stories tall, topped by one of the world`s brightest beams of light. This entertainment destination hosts a wide variety of first-rate entertainment, award-winning restaurants and state-of-the-art gaming features.
Pharoah's Pavilion has a variety of attractions. King Tut's Tomb and Museum is an accurate reproduction of Howard Carter`s 1922 find, often called the most significant archaeological discovery of modern history. The burial chamber and treasury room feature more than 500 replicas of mummies, Egyptian furniture, a chariot, pottery, baskets and other artifacts. Other Pavilion features include the IMAX Theatre; "In Search of the Obelisk" motion-simulator ride; and Games of the Gods Arcade. The gift shop sells Egyptian antiquities and keepsakes. The year-round pool complex has four large pools and a spa.

Renovation & Hotel Information Please note the outdoor pool at the Luxor has closed for the winter season and will reopen in March 2012. All Luxor guests may access the pool at Excalibur (open daily 10am-5pm) by showing their Luxor room key.

Were upgraded to a King suite with Jacuzzi as guests had not checked out of our allocated room when we entered it! Fairly basic room though for saying it was a suite a fridge was sat on a low trolley plugged in! Not part of any bedroom fitment...Small round table and 2 chairs in the same area. The Titanic exhibition well worth paying to see. It's there for 10 years.

The room and bed at the Luxor was a good size, clean, although the air-con leaked. The bathroom was good although the shower was not very powerful. The theme was entertaining and there was a reasonable amount of (non gambling) entertainment, the Mandalay Bay and Excalibur were attached by walkways. Unfortunately by comparison the Luxor buffet was not as good as some of the other hotel buffets (for example the Mandalay Bay which was fantastic), much less variety and the restaurant area smelled quite musty. There was less of a choice of shopping, restaurants and entertainment by comparison to other hotels, although all were available, just to a lesser degree. The hotel was huge but well laid out with clear directions and you always felt secure. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Overall we very much enjoyed the stay although decided when we go back we would choose a more central location.

The hotel showed signs of wear and tear although the room was tidy there was signs of age. The swimming pools were well monitored by life guards.

Felt like you were a number and not a person, big hotel with a lot of through put so you lacked that personnel touch.

Had a great holiday. The hotel was great the pool area needs looking at though as there are 4 pools but only one open and after a lot of pestering they eventually opened a second pool. Two pools were needed as it was so hot.

The hotel was the second to last on the strip and so we had to walk alot to get anywhere. We didnt really have any dealings with the staff other than checking in and out. Checking in was fine, checking out took a very long time as the hotel desk staff seemed very limited and unorganized.

We had to change room after one night as we had requested a non-smoking room and one was not available. You had warned us about renovations but we didn't realize it would be as noisy as it was - drilling throughout the day.
