Beautiful large clean room - beds were very comfortable. No tea & coffee making facilities and nowhere to put your own drinks. However hotel had lots of choice for food. Buffet was good. Situated in the middle of the strip so could walk everywhere. Lots of places to eat and lots to do. Very hot and busy. They had a beautiful pool but you had to walk through the hotel and it was really busy all day, so didn't attempt to go there.

Top location but - non-smoking room stank of cigarettes - there was a mandatory $15 per night surcharge for things which you expect to be included anyway (dressing gown, newspaper, internet, etc) - there was a surcharge for putting your own stuff in the room fridge! Just got the impression they were ripping off at every opportunity.

The hotel and location was very good. However the toilet was leaking and when reported the maintenance men came to repair it on two occasions but failed to do so.

Although hotel was good room was miles away from the elevator and a little tired. But the position of the hotel was perfect. The casino and other public rooms were always heaving but we understand that’s just Vegas!!

The only issue i have is with the "service" charge of $15 dollars a day for each room at The Mirage. For that you get 2 small of bottles of water, use of a bath robe each (wow) use of the cardio facility (?) and a free paper. A rip off in our opinion and not a lot of choice about accepting it!! It is worth warning people about this. I don't know if all the Vegas hotels are in on it -but it could be expensive if you are there for a week or more!! Despite this the hotel was first class and the room with its giant TV was to die for!! One final piece of advice for Vegas - avoid using the Monorail. It promises more than it delivers. It takes an age to walk to and travels at the rear of the strip away from where you want to be and you have to take a long walk back to the strip. Get the bus or walk (or take a taxi) PS Don't forget to check out "The City Centre" development. It is stunning. That the lift to the 22nd floor of the Oriental Mandarin hotel and check out the free views!

For elderly people their was nowhere to sit and relax in the hotel public areas or on the Las Vegas strip itself other than in a restaurant, bar or gaming table. This comment is general to the whole of the tourist area’s of Las Vegas and did not spoil our enjoyment of this fantastic holiday.
