There were no tea or coffee facilities or fridge in the room so it was necessary to dress and go down to the food hall to buy coffee to take back to the room each morning.

Negatives - not the best hotel on the strip, would choose differently when we go back, very expensive underwhelming breakfast. Positives - perfect location for tourist Vegas, great amenities, free parking.

View was fantastic, room was clean and adequate but wall paper hanging off the walls was not good....too tired to complain.

We loved the Monte Carlo, fairly central location on the strip, it wasn't quite as brash and in your face and noisy as some of the other hotel/casinos which we liked. Would recommend the Denny’s restaurant across the road for your breakfast though.

Great hotel, great location. The hotel isn't heavily themed so it's quite subdued relatively. It has a swimming complex with a wave machine, lazy pool & Jacuzzi - all excellent. Next time we might go for the Bellagio - hotel with class.

$42 a night resort fee, on top of what I had already paid. Fantastic pool and gym facilities! No fridge in room. Located on the strip with a free tram to other, linking hotels, such as the Bellagio which also links to Caesar’s Palace, so it's very easy to get around the other hotels.

We were disappointed to be told on arrival about the additional non-negotiable 'resort fee' of $14.50/night which I don't remember reading about in the 'small print'. Room decor and bathroom fittings were looking a little tired.

I don't think we got off to a particularly good start to the Monte Carlo when we were charged $58 for the hotel to provide us with water in our room, newspaper, the use of the gym, internet if you have your own laptop to plug into their internet facility - in the four nights that we stayed at this hotel we only had our water replaced once, never received a newspaper, my husband was nearly refused use of the gym once because the booking was under my maiden name and not our married name (this was only because everywhere requires ID) and we did not have a laptop with us because funnily enough we were on holiday! Unfortunately this charge is not optional and you have no choice, the only other use of the internet was very very expensive. After I expressed my dissatisfaction at this charge we were given an upgrade on our room we were given a room five floors higher than the original booking, unfortunately it really didn't mean anything because our room looked over the back of the hotel. It is in a good location to all the named hotels all within walking distance except the Stratosphere Tower. The concierges are good and very informative. The pool facilities are good and well serviced with pool towels drinks etc. The best part of this hotel was its location.

This hotel was the only one that did not provide any coffee making facilities in the room and charged for the bottle water which was left in the room every day ($12.95 per day). The hotel is at the quieter end of the strip but local free shuttle connected to the hotel made it easier to get to the centre of the strip. Would recommend anybody taking a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon, experience not to be missed. You arrange this for us prior to us going and this was cheaper than could be booked in Las Vegas.

This rating is based a lot on the fact that we had a suite.
