Ian Schrager launched New York's boutique hotel craze when he opened Morgans in 1984. Morgans is still as up-to-the-minute as ever, your first clue being the lack of a sign outside. Inside, the stunning rooms have a minimalist, high-tech look, with low-lying, futon-like beds and 27-inch TVs on wheels. The chic Asia de Cuba restaurant, also a hot nightspot, has long, communal tables and delectable nibbles. The cavelike, candlelight Morgans Bar downstairs also lives up to all its hype.
