An excellent hotel about 15 minutes by metro from the White House; close to Zoo. Some good restaurants and shops 2 mins walk from the hotel. Great outdoor pool. 10 minutes by taxi to Georgetown - lively area, great restaurants.

Location very handy for the metro into the centre of Washington. Dining room excellent, with superb food. The room was comfortable but the air conditioning was very noisy, and this was compounded by the fact that the external ducts for other air conditioning units were situated just outside our window and made a constant rumbling noise during the night. The staff were very helpful. The gardens were beautiful and we particularly liked the wildlife area. The swimming pool was excellent.

When looking to book Washington this year we asked you to look for a Omni hotel. The Shoreham was very good. Lots of very famous people have stayed there and it was not a disappointment. If you are staying in Washington we can say that this hotel in ideal.
