This was a wonderful experience and a must for those interested in ships. The cabins are of their period hence the overall rating is higher than the individual ratings. Sitting on wooden steamer chairs on the seaward side of the deck before the day visitors arrived had the feel of an ocean liner with warm sunshine substituted for the cold weather which would have been the more normal fare of the North Atlantic passengers of yore. We think that the individual audio tour of the ship would be a better bet than the guided tour which we took. The exhibitions on the ship are most extensive and interesting and the ship is in remarkably good condition for its age.

This is an experience not to be missed. Obviously some things looked a little tired but we were comfortable and the food we had was very good. Our rooms were larger than we were expecting and we had good views from the portholes, which were very pleased to find could be opened. One little tip for others is that the headphones which you could hire for the self guided tour were not really very useful but the tour itself was well worth doing.

Very unique, very interesting, but starting to show its age. There are refurbished rooms that can be had. Dining very good, and shuttle to the marina means we could eat downtown Long Beach. The hotel bellhops can book tours at very reasonable rates. - The touristy tour IS a must, with stars homes ect.

Truly an experience, not what you expect from a modern hotel, but if you accept it for what it is, a 1936 cruise liner, then it's absolutely wonderful. No phone signal or Wi-Fi in the room, but that's to be expected for a metal box. Truly a perfect way to spend our last night in the US.

An enjoyable experience for me, however, my partner managed to get a bit sea sick!!! (Hard to imagine on a moored ship). Maintained in the period of its time it was fascinating to see all the fittings and decor. Not a location to spend more than one night due to lack of external things to do but an experience none the less. Parking 15 USD per night. No Wi-Fi however there are internet facilities onboard 3 USD per 10 mins.

More of a museum than a hotel but worth a visit for anyone interested in the history of the ship overnight stay prior to a cruise etc stay also includes tour around the ship.

This ship was amazing. A real time warp. FANTASTIC!! The tours round are a must to get the real feel and history of the ship. There is a free shuttle bus into long beach which is a lovely place. Even my teenage children loved this and the history that surrounded it.

Quite unique. Great size state room. Plenty of choice for restaurants. Good bar with live music from 2 - 7. Interesting to tour the ship and find out about its history. Location wise, it would depend on what you wanted to do in LA. We didn't leave the ship, but it is not far to downtown Long Beach. You wouldn't want to stay here to do LA itself as it is quite far out.

Exceptional - provided that you DO remember it is an old ship that is retaining its old features (get into the spirit of it and you will enjoy). Excellent restaurant (Chelsea) and cafe (Promenade). Handy for Palm Beach (free shuttle bus) and hence Los Angeles. Really great value for money. New owners so expect a lot of changes, improvements, over coming years.
