When my two daughters and I arrived at the Wellington Hotel, we were told that our room had been downgraded, but to compensate we would be given breakfast vouchers. We were a bit disappointed and wondered what the room was going to be like. There was a double bed and a single fold up bed, which we took in turns to sleep in but it was very comfortable. A bonus was that we could see Time Square from the window. The free breakfast we were offered every morning in the restaurant, attached to the hotel, kept us going all day and the staff were very quick and friendly. The hotel was a bit dowdy, but we only needed it for a base, and seeing how close it was to all the things we wanted to see, it was perfect. The only downside to the accommodation was that there was a kitchen, but there was no crockery, cutlery or kettle. We would definitely book into the Wellington Hotel if we go to New York again.
